Peter P. Cooper

    Peter P. Cooper of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart. He was 61.
    He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. The military also provided him his education and earned his GED. Family was always first with Peter. He was known for his great sense of humor and comedic wit.
    Survivors include his wife of 31 years, the former Kathleen Mackiewicz; sons, Peter Jr. and wife, Nicole, of Wayne, N.J., and Robert and wife, Marie, of Ringwood, N.J.; daughter, Cynthia Cooper and husband, Minard Houghtaling, of Dingmans Ferry; grandchildren, Karen, Amelia, Ben, Levi, Robbie, and Cole; sister, Donna Van Winkle and husband, Russell, of Wayne, N.J.
    He was preceded in death by a sister, Reenee Cooper.
    The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, Jessup, Pa.
