New Vintage Ensemble to hold 'Our Town' auditions Guest artists invited to join ensemble cast members

SCRANTON — The New Vintage Ensemble in Scranton is holding open auditions for guest artists to perform in the American classic "Our Town" by Thornton Wilde, in honor of the play's 80th anniversary. Actors of all types are encouraged to audition for these paid positions. The play will be directed by Conor Kelly O'Brien and adhere fully to the text and spirit of the play. The New Vintage Ensemble's production will further its mission to reinvent the familiar by taking fresh perspectives on pace, tone, and aesthetic choices as it crafts its own Grover's Corners. The core cast is made up of New Vintage Ensemble members, but the director is seeking several guest artists to join them. Auditions will be held at the AFA Gallery, 514 Lackawanna Avenue, in downtown Scranton according to the following schedule: Sunday, Jan. 28, from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday Jan. 29, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Performances will be held (ubject to change) March 23 to 31.
