— This year, each class at Delaware Valley Elementary School (DVES) will be sorted into a “house." These houses have different names that represent qualities found in its students and the Leader in Me:

The Green House is "Ambitius Integritas," which means ambitious with integrity.

The Yellow House is "Amicus Studiousus," which means kindness and diligence.

The Red House is "Bellator Fortis," which means brave warrior.

The Blue House is "Ingenium Acceptatio," which means creative and accepting.

The school's special area teachers held an assembly to introduce this concept to students. Ms. Emily Kondracki, DVES Chorus teacher, led students in their new, powerful DVES cheer.

Teachers at each grade level then popped a balloon to find out which house their class was in. All grade levels are represented in each house.

According to the rules, students may earn or lose points depending on the behavior of their house. They can also receive bonus points for different tasks and bonus areas.

The points will be tallied every day by Student Council and will be announced on the DVE-TV morning news program daily.
