    William W. Roberts of Matamoras, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in Port Jervis, N.Y. He was 85.
    Son of the late Henry G. And Minnie Romer Roberts, he was born on March 7, 1932, in Port Jervis.
    Bill worked for the A&P Tea Co. for 37 years, the last 30 years in management. Since his retirement, he worked part-time for NAPA at Frank’s Auto Parts in Milford, Pa.
    He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Matamoras, a member and Past Master of the Milford Lodge #344 Free and Accepted Masons, a member and past-president of the Lost Camp Hunting Club, and a member of the Matamoras American Legion Post #0486. He volunteered for Bon Secours Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and the Karate Tournament for the Milford Masonic Lodge. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and just being outdoors in the Pike County woods.
    He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beverly MacFarlane Roberts, at home; daughter, Kathleen Roberts of Niskayuna, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
    He was pre-deceased by his sister Elizabeth Hobson and brothers Alfred and Eugene Roberts.
    There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 3, at the United Methodist Church, 209 Ave H, Matamoras, with the Rev. Diane Sommers officiating. Interment will take place at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Port Jervis, at the convenience of the family.
