Matthew James Wojciechowski of Shohola, Pa., passed away on Monday, Jan. 26, 2019. He was 28.

The son of Gary and Dana (Nixon) Wojciechowski, Matthew was born on Nov. 25, 1990, in Hackettstown, N.J. He grew up in Shohola and graduated from Delaware Valley in 2009.

He was living in Baltimore, Md., and worked as a fiber laser assembler for Thor Labs in Jessup, Md.

Matt was the kind of person who would do anything for his friends and family, and he had a wicked sense of humor. You couldn’t help but laugh when he was around. Matt was a metalhead, a car enthusiast, and will always be remembered for his love of all animals.

He leaves behind his parents, Gary and Dana Wojciechowski of Shohola; sister, Danielle Zierer, and her husband, Buddy, of Milford, Pa.; brothers, Gary Wojciechowski of Shohola and Keith Wojciechowski of Jessup, Pa.; nieces and nephews, Sadie, William and Logan; maternal grandmother, Florence Nixon; and beloved cat, Dr. Nibbles (aka Nibs, Jules, Julius, Bad Kitty).

Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on Feb. 5. Services followed in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Matt’s name to the Pike County Humane Society in Shohola (pikecountyhumanesociety.org).
