Matamoras. Barry Benson, aka Papa Bee, author of "There’s a Flower in Our Vegetable Garden," visited Delaware Valley Elementary School (DVES) recently.

He was interviewed on DVE-TV by reporter Connor Giblin on the morning program. Mr. Benson explained that some of the characters in his book were based on his son and a friend of his.

He wrote the book to support anti-bullying. He wants children to realize that they are all special and should be accepted as themselves.

After the interview, he signed a copy of the book and handed a copy to the librarian, Mr. Mang, for the DVES library. He then went to visit each second-grade class and read the book to students.
