MILFORD - The first annual Gar·Po·Fire Community Auction will be held on Saturday, September 22nd, Noon-5 p.m, at Saint Patrick’s Parish Hall, East High Street, Milford, PA.
The auction’s title, Gar·Po·Fire, is derived from the three organizations it will benefit: the Milford Garden Club, Milford Police Department and Milford Volunteer Fire Department.
“These are three important institutions in our community that need our support,” said Milford Councilmember Annette Haar, who is co-chairing the auction with Milford Garden Club President Linda Pinto.
More than 200 auction lots of antiques, art, merchandise, furniture, sterling silver, china, rugs and other merchandise, as well as time at vacation homes and special experiences will be included in the sale.
“All items donated will be sold without a reserve; no ‘minimum bid’ is required,” said Pinto. “We are soliciting items that we hope will bring anywhere from $100 to $1000 or more.”
Haar and Pinto are working with a large group of volunteers, including Jack Boyle (Palmetto Court Productions), Katrina Foster (KKPR Marketing & Public Relations), Lauren Leonforte (Old Lumberyard Complex), Kasia Lojewska (Old Lumberyard Antiques), Debbie Beck, Missi Strub and Luke Turano and Frank Tarquino (both members of the Milford Borough Council). Professional auctioneer Jeanine Tenzi and Milford Mayor Sean Strub will serve as the auctioneers.
A ticketed Sneak Preview will be held on Friday, September 21st, 5-7 p.m. Donations can be made or tickets for the Sneak Preview reception can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gar-po-fire-community-auction-tickets-48622813143
