This weekend the Milford Craft Show will celebrate its 26th year of stuffing stockings and helping put great gifts under the tree with two free events.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, is a meet-and-greet with Daddio Sugar, the larger-than-life personality behind The Big Box of Magic. From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Daddio will share some of his favorite magic tricks with kids of all ages, demonstrating sleight-of-hand favorites just in time for holiday entertaining.

The locally created Kickstarter backed box features 25 straight-from-the-box tricks with the props to pull them off like a pro. At this awesome interactive event, Daddio Sugar will show you how.

On Sunday Dec. 8, the Mittens for Kittens project will host a cat and kitten adoption at the store from noon until 3 p.m., with adoptable friends from Jill's Ferals. In addition to meeting these fabulous felines, guests can shop from a special collection of handcrafted, locally made mittens to benefit the Port Jervis-based cat TNR (trap, neuter, return) rescue and adoption program. Cat food and litter donations are always encouraged at this annual event.

Both events are open to the public with no advance registration required.

The Milford Craft Show is located at 120 East Harford St., one block from the Milford Community House and site of Milford's annual tree Lighting at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Santa arrives on Fire Engine 33 at 5:15 p.m.
