Show your support for the Black Bear Film Festival by joining the Artful Bear Debut and Picnic from 2:30 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Milford Community House at 201 Broad Street. See the latest sleuth of Artful Bears decorated by local artists and learn more about this year’s festival. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to this free event to watch Jesse Clemente paint a bear and listen to music by guitarist Ernie Kara. Light refreshments will be served. After their debut, the bears will placed around town ahead of the film festival this October. The picnic will follow a screening of "The Little Mermaid" at the Pike County Public Library, 119 East Harford St., Milford; doors open at 12:15 p.m. RSVP for the film by emailing BlackBearFF@gmail.com.
