The Delaware Valley Choral Society reminds us that music has long been recognized as a great therapeutic aid to enhance well-being, a benefit that doubles for those creating music.

The choral society invites you to come and sing with its members as they rehearse for a concert of spiritual renewal this spring.

"It will not only help you, but you will be giving your audience spiritual renewal as well," says the invitation.

The choral society's May concert will feature Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata No. 4 and Dan Forrest’s Requiem for the Living. It will also premier "May the Lord Protect You," a new choral work by local composer Jeri Sardella.

Rehearsals take place at 2 p.m. on Sundays at the Milford United Methodist Church, located at 206 East Ann St. in Milford. Music and rehearsal CDs are provided to singers when they first come to rehearsal. For more information email Jeffrey Fornoff at Jeffrey.marc.fornoff@gmail.com.

The Delaware Valley Choral Society is a non-profit group dedicated to performing major choral works in their original form. The society incorporates aspiring musicians from the area as well as professional musicians to bring major works of music to the community.
