Danielle Hazimof, a certified nursing assistant, is Wayne Memorial Hospital’s Employee of the Year for 2022. She is the administrative assistant in the nursing office and has been with WMH for seven years, although she served an earlier stint as a dietary aide. She was the 2022 February Employee of the Month, nominated by Maryrose Krzemieniecki, RN, who called Danielle “one of the greatest assets to the COVID unit operations.”

Spotlighting Hazimof as a team player, Krzemieniecki wrote, “In addition to exceptional care for her patients, Danielle made sure the unit was fully stocked, organized, and clean. She was a nurses’ aide, a stock clerk, a housekeeper and on a few occasions even a plumber. And every day Danielle comes to work with a positive attitude, a smile and a laugh that can make the grumpiest person smile.”

CEO Jim Pettinato, BSN, MHSA, CCRN-K, presented Danielle with a plaque and a monetary gift saying her attitude and work ethic is “much appreciated” and added, “you have a bright future here.” Danielle was also an EOM back in August of 2018.

The presentation included a bouquet of roses for Hazimof, cookies, a non-alcoholic bubbly toast and photos with other Employees of the Months of ’22.

The Employee of the Year is chosen by the Employees of the Month from the previous year. Hazimof will have a permanent position on the hospital’s EOY Wall of Honor near the cafeteria.
