    Graduates Ana Tapias, of Shohola, received a Juris Doctor degree at the recent spring commencement Harrisburg campus of Widener Law's 21st graduating class.

    Daniella Cathleen Haigler, daughter of Catherine McGuire of Matamoras graduated cum laude from Dickinson College with a BA in anthropology, classical studies and archaeology. Other recognition included: dean's list. Haigler is a graduate of Delaware Valley High School.

    Margaret E. Palermo, daughter of Rosemary Walsh and Scott Palermo graduated Summa Cum Laude from American University on Sunday May 13. Meg earned a dual degree in Musical Theatre and Secondary Education, with a minor in Music Performance. Meg received the Greenberg Scholarship for leadership and achievement, the Outstanding Honors Senior Award, and the Evelyn Swarthout Hayes Award. Meg is a 2008 graduate of Delaware Valley.

    Shalini Singaravelu, of Milford, graduated from Union College on Sunday, June 10 during the College's 218th Commencement exercises. Singaravelu, a Anthropology major, received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

    Kristin Chuchwa, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Science of Economics at Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colo, Kristin if a 2007 graduate of Delaware Valley High School and is the daughter of William and Rhonda Chuchwa from Milford.

    Dean's List Katie Knesnik, a sophomore PreK-4 Elementary Education major has been named to the Dean's List at Grove City College. Katie is a 2010 graduate of Homeschooled and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Knesnik (Leanna) from Milford.

    Jesse Altaville, a student from Matamoras, PA, has been named to the spring 2012 dean's list at St. Bonaventure University. Altaville is majoring in computer science.

    Wilkes University announces the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. The university extends its congratulations to Melissa Hommel, of Shohola.

    Misericordia University qualifies for the dean's list with a 3.55 grade point average or higher. The following students were named to the dean's list for the spring 2012 semester:Laura Bennett, of Dingmans Ferry; Aileen Kolvenbach, of Milford; Christine Marks, of Milford; Kiana Ramirez, of Dingmans Ferry; Gina Raniero, of Milford; Dayna Richter, of Dingmans Ferry.

    The following local resident was named to the Dean's List at Ithaca College for the spring 2012 semester; Nadege Hoeper, of Shohola and a Exercise Science major in the class of 2015, at Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.

    The following students have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the spring 2012 Delaware Valley College Dean's List: Aimee Aidala, of Matamoras: Victoria Ciancitto, of Milford; and Jessica Scelba, of Milford.

    Samantha Longobardi, of Milford, was named to Susquehanna University’s dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester. Longobardi, a recent graduate majoring in public relations, is a 2008 graduate of Delaware Valley High School and the daughter of Vincent and AnnMarie Longobardi.

    The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Stephanie McAndrew of Milford has been named to its Dean's List for Spring 2012.

    Joseph Fiumano of Matamoras has been named to the Dean’s List at Berkeley College for the Winter 2012 Quarter. Fiumano is pursuing his degree through Berkeley College Online.

    Katharine Elizabeth Egan of Milford, was named to the Spring 2012 Dean's List at The University of Rhode Island.

    Honors/accomplishments Coren France of Lackawaxen was among the 15 members of The University of Scranton's Class of 2012 who were commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army during the Jesuit school's commencement exercises. France has been assigned to infantry.

    Dover Business College is pleased to announce that Megan McGettigan of Dingmans Ferry recently passed the Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) exam. McGettigan is a graduate of the Patient Care Technician (PCT) program at the Dover Campus.

    Elke Miller of Milford was among the 35 graduate students of The University of Scranton who were honored for their academic achievements at the College of Graduate and Continuing Education commencement ceremonies.

    Much of the success of the recent Lock Haven University orientation program is the involvement of the numerous student orientation leaders, including Joshua Peacock, a senior from Milford.

    Karen Wolsiefer of Dingmans Ferry, has won Recognition Scholarship. at The College at Brockport, State University of New York, Scholarships are awarded to members of its incoming freshman class who have demonstrated academic excellence.
