Alan Bentley, 80, of Shohola, Pa., passed away peacefully at Twin Cedars Assisted Living, Shohola on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020.
Son of the late John Massey and Hilda (Jones) Bentley, he was born on July 14, 1940, in Darlington, England. He was married to Margaret (Knowles) Bentley, who preceded him in death on June 11, 1998.
He worked as a wastewater treatment operator for RSR in Middletown, N.Y., where he retired from in 2004.
Alan leaves behind his children, Kim Rinkel, and her husband, William, of Shohola, Ann Bentley of Greeley, Pa., and Stuart Bentley and his wife, Theresa, of Haslet, Texas; and grandchildren, Christopher and Joseph Rinkel.
He was preceded in death by his brother, George, in 2003.
Cremation was private at convenience to the family.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) or the humane society of the donor’s choice as he always had a love for animals.
