Alice E. Orlando of Port Jervis, N.Y., passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021. She was 99.
She was born on July 14, 1921, in Bethlehem, Pa., the daughter of Howard and Isabella Redmond Steward.
In the early 1940s Alice worked for JS Raub Shoe Store in Port Jervis. In the later 1940s she worked for the Kissen News Agency. Alice then worked for Sidney Krawitz, Attorney At Law, in Milford, Pa., until her retirement and many years of dedicated service.
She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Port Jervis.
Alice married Savey (“Sare”) Orlando, who pre-deceased her in December 2005.
She is survived by her niece, Doris Breech of Bloomsburg, Pa.; son-in-law, Robert Bulinson of Reno, Nevada; caregiver and close friend, Millie Sweeney of Port Jervis.
Alice was pre-deceased by her daughter, Judith A. Adams; sister, Margaret Kressler; and brothers, James and Richard Steward.
Graveside services were to be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Jervis. A celebration of Alice’s life will be held in the spring.
