Corneilous ('Neil') W. Bonner

Corneilous (“Neil”) W. Bonner of Greeley, Pa., passed away at home on Monday, Nov. 25, 2019. He was 81.

Son of the late Joseph and Anna (Cooney) Bonner, he was born on Oct. 12, 1938, in Wilkes Barre, Pa. He graduated from Coughlin High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1959.

Neil worked as a lineman-journeyman, served on an apprenticeship committee, was a retired IBEW member, was a member of the Port Jervis Elks Lodge 645, Knights of Columbus, Marsh-Kellogg American Legion Post 139, Milford, Pa., and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, past Republican Committee Chairman for Pike County, served as the Lackawaxen Township Supervisor, and was the owner of Pinehurst Lodge.

Neil leaves behind his wife, Linda (Rosencrance) Bonner; children, Theresa Conley, Joseph Bonner, Jason Bonner, and Erin Zaccari; and siblings, Patricia Gingrich, Gerald Bonner, Francis Bonner, and Thomas Bonner.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Greeley, with burial at McKean Valley Cemetery.
