Ferdinand A. ("Fred") Marino of Hemlock Farms, Lords Valley, Pa., died Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, Pa. He was 72.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa R. (Andriello) Marino. They had been together since Dec. 28, 1979 and were married on August 15, 1992.

Son of the late Anthony and Harriet (Smolkowski) Marino, he was born June 25, 1947, in Stamford, Connecticut.

A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he earned a degree in restaurant management. He put his education and cooking skill to use as the owner and operator of his own food truck, Freddie's Franks and More, primarily in Stamford.

Formerly of Greenwich, Conn., and Hopewell Junction, N.Y., Fred and Theresa had been residents of Hemlock Farms for the past five years. He was a member of St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Lords Valley.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a step-daughter, Danielle Franco of Danbury, CT; one sister, Katherine Marino of Florida; two brothers, Anthony and James Marino of Florida; and his two grandchildren who were his absolute pride and joy, Stephen and Ashley Torres of Lords Valley.

Fred was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Marino.

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.

A memorial service will be held in the near future at a time and date to be determined. Arrangements are being made by Teeters' Funeral Chapel (teetersfuneralchapel.com).
