John Francis Harney III

John Francis Harney III of Milford, Pa., passed away on Oct. 21, 2020, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y. He was 79.

Son of the late John Francis and Eleanore (Hedeman) Harney II, he was born on Feb. 2, 1941, in Bronx, N.Y. He was married to Nancy Dahms.

He was a firefighter for the New Rochelle Fire Department, New Rochelle, N.Y., and a proud U.S. Navy veteran. John leaves behind his wife, Nancy Harney; son, John Francis Harney IV of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; daughter, Christina Pelletier of Uxbridge, Mass.; brothers, Brian Harney, Christopher Harney, and Peter Harney; and four grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Harney.

Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on Oct. 25. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Oct. 26 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Milford, with the Rev. John B. Boyle officiating.
