John R. Vaughan of Milford, Pa. and formerly of Long Island, N.Y., passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. He was 68.
Son of the late Cornelius and Matilda (Ricciuti) Vaughan, he was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Islip, N.Y. He was married to the love of his life, Denise (Dominguez) Vaughan on April 17, 1982.
He was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and AEMT. He has served within the West Islip & Coram fire Departments throughout his life. He loved working on his cars, building things with his hands, and enjoying nature.
John leaves behind his wife, Denise; daughters, Lorraine Gallagher, Deborah Vaughan, and Samantha Vaughan; son, Timothy Vaughan; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Hanna, AnthoN.Y., Matthew, Austin, Kaitlyn, Timothy, Anthony, and Benjamin, whom he loved dearly.
Services will be held Thursday, March 12, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Mangano Funeral Home, 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, N.Y.
