It is with great sadness that the family of John Scott Wyka reports his unexpected passing on March 21, 2024, in Milford, Pennsylvania. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. The son of Stanley and Algerina (Nunes) Wyka, John was born on January 8, 1960, in Passaic, New Jersey.

John worked as a union carpenter for over 30 years, in New Jersey and tri-state areas. John loved to hike and walk in the mountains, hunting, and playing one of his many guitars.

He was an extremely talented guitarist and had played lead guitar with the band Brokedown and Rebuilt.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister Valerie Wyka; nephews Thomas Lee Wyka of Portland, Oregon, and Kevin Thomas Wyka and his wife Linda, and baby Noel Grace of Bloomingburg, New York; as well as many cousins and a host of friends.

He leaves behind his adored dog, Sullivan, which is now in the loving care of his sister, Valerie.

Greeting him in Heaven are his parents, sister Aleta M. Wyka, and brother Thomas Wyka.

Cremation was private, held at the convenience of the family. Final interment will be at the Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania.
