Marion Elizabeth Scherer of Milford, Pa., passed away May 18, 2021, at Milford Senior Care in Milford. She was 80.

Daughter of the late Vincent J. and Margaret Mary (Francis) Severino she was born July 14, 1940, in Englewood, N.J.

Marion was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, a mother, and grandmother. The oldest of three sisters, she was the ultimate nurturer, selflessly taking care of everyone she loved.

Her only child, Jenny Lynn, credits her with being the wind beneath her wings, the force that kept her strong and safe enough to fly out on her own and have her own family of three. Some of the things Marion loved were the 1950s, dancing, Barbra Streisand, and Broadway. She loved taking long weekend trips with her husband, Bob, going to church, and saying the rosary. Her favorite flowers were lily of the valley, daisies and daffodils. Marion was a warm, comforting person who loved being around people.

Said Bob, “I’d marry her again and again if she was still here.”

Marion leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Robert C. Scherer; daughter, Jennifer L. Boschetti; son-in-law, Keith and granddaughter, Lindsey Marie of Ramsey, N.J.; sister, Lori Ann Merlo, and brother-in-law, Daryn, of Ocean View, Del.; nieces, Elyse, Katy and Amanda Merlo of New York City, Dawn Janetzko of Texas, Lisa Vreeland and Grace Mancini of New Jersey; nephews, Joseph and Michael Janetzko of New Jersey; and dear friends Donna and Joe Whalen of Closter, N.J.

Marion was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Linda and Joe Janetzko.

Burial and graveside services will be held at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J., on Friday, May 21, at 11 a.m.
