Michael Thomas Plunkett

Michael Thomas Plunkett of Milford, Pa., died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y. He was 55.

He was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, on May 3, 1965.

He was a service writer at Johnson’s Toyota for 11 years.

He was an avid Miami Dolphin and New York Mets fan. He loved to cook and read. He loved camping trips with friends and family. He loved spending time with his grandson and being home with his two dogs and cat. He was a huge fan of Jeopardy and played against his wife every night from their living room. He would have been Jeopardy’s top player.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Michael was predeceased by his mother, Maureen (Ponzio); father, Michael; step-father, Tommy; and brother Bryan.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Dawn, of Milford; children, Brian Rabideau of Milford, and Jasmine Hogan and her husband, Brian, of Shohola, Pa.; grandchildren, Adam Alfieri of Matamoras, Pa., and Julia Keller of Florida; brothers Timothy McAllister and his wife, Lindy, Thomas McAllister and his wife, Joleen, Terrance McAllister and his wife, Cory, Richard McAllister and his wife, Marie, and Darrian Plunkett; best friends for life Billy Welsh and Joey Weiss; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis, on Saturday, Jan. 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 8 p.m. Cremation will be at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chihuahua Rescue Squad for the love of his little chihuahuas, Lilly and Layla. You can find their page on Facebook.
