Richard D. Young of Milford, Pa. passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, at Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, N.J. He was 85.
Son of the late Charles and Bertha (Stetson) Young, he was born on May 21, 1935 in North Bergen, N.J. He was married to Geraldine (Opeckun) Young on May 6, 1961.
He was a supervisor for Conrail Railroad and was a U.S. Army and U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1958 until 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Young; daughter, Christine Young-Gallagher and her husband, Mark; son, Charles R. Young and his wife Holly; grandchildren; Morgan Nachtigall and her husband, Joshua, Jessica Young, Cheyenne Franklin and her husband, Zachary, Amanda Gallagher, Steven Gallagher, Gregory Gallagher; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Maren Nachtigall.
Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home, in Milford on Dec. 22. Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Dec. 23 with the Rev. Joseph Manarchuck officiating.
