Richard Edgar Almquist passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, following a short hospitalization. He was 72.
Son of the late Edgar Almquist and Ruth (Van Wart) Kurz, Richard was born on May 1, 1948, in Port Jervis, N.Y., and raised by Edgar and Marion Almquist.
Richard retired as a freelance electronics technician in 2012 and split his time residing in Matawan, N.J., and Norman Hills, Milford, Pa.
Richard leaves behind his sister, Gretchen Copeland; brother, Jon Almquist; sister-in-law, Stephanie Almquist; brother-in-law, Lowell Copeland and nieces and nephews; Adam Copeland, Dana Copeland, Ryan Almquist and Devon Almquist.
Private interment will take place at Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, Pa.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Place, 160 E. Main St., Port Jervis, NY 12771.
