Richard Paul Profeta of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at Lawnwood Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Fla. He was 60.

Son of the late Mario “Matty” and Marie (Leone) Profeta, he was born on Dec. 12, 1960, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was married to Marylynn (Fiory) Profeta, who preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 2010.

He was a mechanical engineer for Picatinny Arsenal, Wharton, N.J., and a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran. Richard was a Delaware Township volunteer fireman who served as Fire Police and was a member of the Blue Knights Club. Richard was a true “Trekkie,” as he had a deep appreciation for Star Trek and technology. He will be remembered for his unwavering love for America, being a constitutionalist and red-blooded patriot, his love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, firearms, golfing, camping and boating. Richard leaves behind his daughter, Angela Koellner and her husband, Joshua, and grandchild to be; sisters, Lorraine Profeta and husband, David Katalanski, Rosemarie Ortiz and husband, Heraberto “Eddie,” and Christine Lee and husband, Brett; sister-in-law, Susan Fiory-Burke and husband, Kenneth; brother-in-law, Robert Fiory; mother-in-law Nellie Lomauro; and countless nieces and nephews, cousins and good friends. A small Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with immediate family at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 101 St Vincent Dr, Milford, Pa., 18337 with Rev. John Boyle officiating. Due to current restrictions, the family will be planning a separate celebration of life at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
