Robert J. Rowe of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall, Newburgh, N.Y. He was 69.
Son of Joseph R. and Frances (Montana) Rowe, he was born on July 10, 1951 in Newark, N.J. He was married to Eileen Rowe, who preceded him in death on Dec. 5, 2020.
He worked as a building engineer for AT&T then later at Lucent Technology in Murray Hill. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, a devout member of the Dingmans Ferry United Methodist Church, and member of the Milford American Legion Post 139.
He will be remembered for his passion for cooking, having mastered the art of smoking meat. Robert took enjoyment in building, camping, hosting friends and family, and was a proud patriot.
Robert leaves behind his daughter, Cara Lynn Ashton, and her husband, Larry; brother, Donald Rowe; grandchildren, Emery Ashton, Scarlett Ashton, Clayton Ashton, and Lily DelGuidice; stepchildren, Michael Vaughan and Heather Vaughan; and many friends.
Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford, Pa., on March 16, followed by funeral services with the Rev. Sungduk Kim officiating. Cremation will take place at convenience to the family at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford Township, Pa.
