Walter Hill, 95

Walter Hill of Milford, Pennsylvania, entered into eternal rest of our lord and savior on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the age of 95. Walter is survived by his children Daniel (and Margaret), Dominic, Mary (and Kai) and James; and six grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Nicole, Thomas, Matthew, and Stephanie. He was predeceased by Gloria (Gallo), his wife of 56 years, and his parents Daniel and Rose (Rudakewicz).

Walter was a member of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean conflict from 1950 through 1952 and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a long-time member of the Milford, Pennsylvania VFW Post 8612, which he loved dearly. He served as officer of the day during his time with the VFW.

He enjoyed classical music, classic movies and, most of all, his family. He was dearly loved by his wife, children, and grandchildren and will always be remembered for his gentleness, charity, and sense of humor.

Catholic Mass and entombment: Friday, April 5, 2024, at 11 a.m. EDT at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers, Walter expressed a desire for contributions to be made in his memory to VFW Post 8612, PO Box 8612, Milford PA 18337.
