This year has been a tough year on countless non-profits. Many fundraising events had to be canceled or re-worked, leaving a large number of organizations in financial hardship.

Combined Energy Services tried to do its part by supporting the organizations that care for animals. Over the years, the business has donated heating oil and retired service vehicles to the Pike County Humane Society. This year CES donated $3,000 in fuel oil to the humane society.

The humane society provides shelter, food, care and medical treatment for lost, abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. They also prevent cruelty to animals by educating people in the humane treatment of all animals and teaching about the responsibility of pet ownership.

There are many ways you can give to the Pike County Humane Society, such as donating a special skill. They have tons of ongoing projects and programs that can use volunteers.
