Tips for finding high-quality clothes

Going Zero Waste offers tips on finding good clothes that will last for years. First, hold the fabric up to the light: fabrics shouldn't be see-through (unless intentionally so). Then check the stitching by gently pulling on either side of the seam. Is everything secure, or are you seeing lots of space or wispy thread? Make sure the hems are even and hanging properly, without puckers. Most of all, make sure the garment fits just right.
