Black Bear Film Festival plans Midsummer Drive In Theatre

Dingmans Ferry. The Black Bear Festival will host its Midsummer Drive-In showing “The Quick and the Dead” on July 30, and “Cape Fear” on July 31.

    The Black Bear Film Festival will hold its Midsummer Drive In Theatre at Akenac Park, Dingmans Ferry, PA to view two classic feature films!

    The cost will be $25 per car load, per night.

    The festival will show “The Quick and the Dead” on Friday, July 30, directed by Sam Raimi, with an opening Serenade of Country/Western tunes with The Big Ska Band starting at 7 p.m. The Quick and the Dead is a 1995 American revisionist Western film starring Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio.

    The festival will show “Cape Fear”, which was directed by Martin Scorcese, on July 31 at 9 p.m.

    “Cape Fear” is a 1991 American psychological thriller film directed by Martin Scorsese as a remake of the 1962 film of the same name which was based on John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel, “The Executioners”. It stars Robert De Niro, Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange, Joe Don Baker, Juliette Lewis, Robert Mitchum, and Gregory Peck in his final theatrical film role.
