Kinder Morgan Inc. recently contributed $10,000 to the Pike County Emergency Services Initiative (PCESI) fund administered through the Greater Pike Community Foundation.

According to the county, the PCESI fund provides funding to qualified Pike County emergency services agencies and other nonprofit emergency response organizations, including training programs such as the Emergency Medical Training (EMT) course at the Pike County Training Center. The fund was established in response to the local EMS crisis by the commissioners; the Public Safety Department; and founding gifts from the law firm of Weinstein, Zimmerman & Oligher, William Lovejoy, and other generous donors.

Commissioner Matthew Osterberg said, “We are grateful to Kinder Morgan for recognizing the importance of having safe and efficient EMS services in the county. This generous donation will help provide scholarships to 14 individuals wishing to become EMT trainees.”
