Milford veterans to observe September 11

The American Legion Marsch-Kellogg Post 139 is holding a September 11 remembrance at the Pike County Soldiers & Sailors Monument at Kiehl Park, Broad and High Streets, in Milford.

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, with opening remarks by Sean Harrigan, first vice commander of Post 139.

There will be an opening prayer led by Tom Walczak, Chaplain; a flag raising and salute to colors led by Frank Skala, Sergeant at Arms; and the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Jim Mulligan.

Connie Harvey, Commander, will deliver the keynote address, followed by the presentation of the remembrance wreath, the sounding of Taps and the Salute to Colors, and the closing prayers.
