Last Wednesday evening Delaware Valley Girls basketball team played North Pocono. It was a rough night for the girls as North Pocono had a very strong team, but true to form for Delaware Valley teams there was absolutely no surrender and no quit so here are the results.

The first period saw North Pocono asserting themselves on both offense and defense taking a commanding lead of 20-5.

DV actually won the second period 8-7 to conclude the half at 27-13 giving the home crowd some hope.

In the third period NP said that there will be none of that and scored 29 points to DV’s 16 points. The score is now 56-29, leaving little doubt in the eventual outcome of the game.

The final period saw both teams score 8 points each to give NP a victory of 64-37.

Credit to North Pocono for playing a strong game and to DV for giving it all they have.
