Pike County Library to follow state plan for re-opening

| 27 May 2020 | 09:16

As Pike County moves to the Yellow Phase on May 29th, we will be following the framework for a phased plan of reopening set out by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.

At this time, no items are due and you will not be fined until at least June 30th. You can return your items to either branch or book drop location if you would like.On June 1st, staff will return to the building to process checked-in materials. The library will not be open to the public in this first phase. For the safety of our patrons the materials will undergo a quarantine period. We will be open from 10am – 5pm to take your phone calls and answer questions only.In the next phase, later in June, you can place holds on books, audiobooks, and DVDs via the library website or by phone for curbside pickup only. The library will have somewhat modified hours, which will be posted on our website and through social media. In the final stage of the Yellow Phase, patrons, in limited numbers, will be able to enter the building.

We are working hard to make sure your use of the library is safe and enjoyable. Don’t forget -- we have thousands of materials that are available 24/7 with your library card! Don’t have a library card? Apply on the library website, www.pcpl.org.

Thank you, and stay safe.
