GAIT holds 'Race for the Ribbons' fundraiser to commemorate 25th anniversary

Milford. Each dollar donated to a specific horse will push them forward. When each horse reaches $2,500 -- the cost of their hay and feed for one year -- they will cross the finish line and receive their "ribbon."

This year, GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center in Milford celebrates its 25th year improving the quality of life of children and adults with special needs through equine activities and therapies.

In honor of its silver anniversary, the organization is doing something special to recognize how much its horses mean to the GAIT community: They invite you to join in the fun as they head off to the races!

From now until GAIT's 25th anniversary celebration at Akenac Park on Saturday, June 6 (save the date), the horses will be racing to the finish line. Each dollar donated to a specific horse will push them forward. When each horse reaches $2,500 -- the cost of their hay and feed for one year -- they will cross the finish line and receive their "ribbon."

Not sure which horse to donate to? Read more about the horses on GAIT’s website (gaittrc.org/gait-horses) or Facebook page (facebook.com/GAIT.TRC). Donate to one horse or to several. Donate once, or as many times as you'd like over the next several months. You may also donate to the General Fund, and GAIT will apply your gift to one of the horses.

Stay tuned on Facebook and Instagram to see which place your favorite horse is in.

Donate to your favorite horse today and send them to the winner's circle!
