Experience the beauty of the outdoors by joining the Pocono Heritage Land Trust for a variety of outdoor events throughout fall and winter.

Wednesday, Oct 9, from 10 a.m.-noon

Signs of Autumn Walk -- Join Stewardship Manager Matt Schultz for a brisk hike at Jonas Mountain Nature Preserve. Enjoy the fall colors and look for signs of autumn throughout this beautiful preserve located in the far reaches of Monroe County's west end.

Sunday, Oct. 20, from 1-4:30 p.m.

Glen Brook Glen to Glen Trail West Walk-- Join local naturalist Don Miller for a guided walk on a portion of the former Stroudsburg to Saylorsburg railroad bed trail between Godfrey's Ridge and the McMichael's Creek at Glen Brook.

Sunday, Nov 17, from 1-4:30 p.m.

Brodhead Canyon Glen to Glen Trail East -- Local naturalist Don Miller leads this walk on the former New York and Susquehanna railroad bed trail along the Brodhead Creek at the base of Godfrey's Ridge on the Monroe County Brodhead Creek Canyon Open Space Tract.

Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m.

Owl Walk -- Just because the sun is set, it is no reason to go indoors. This is the time for owling, and Darryl and Jackie Speicher of Pocono Avian Research Center are excited to lead this hike in search of the night's most fearsome predator, the great horned owl. Participants will also call out to the other elusive critters, including the barred owl and the screech owl.

Sunday, Dec. 15, from 1-4:30 p.m.

Tannersville Cranberry Bog Boardwalk Walk -- Local naturalist Don Miller guides this walk on The Nature Conservancy's Indian Ridge Trail and the floating boardwalk trail to the Cranberry Creek observation platform.
