Scranton Prep defeats Delaware Valley girls’ basketball team

It was a tough night for Delaware Valley girls’ basketball, which played Scranton Prep.
The JV team suffered a defeat by a score of 57-30. That stings because I am used to seeing our JV players win convincingly. The top scorer was Reiley Newton with 7 points.
Our hopes then rested with the varsity team, but it didn’t last for long. Scranton Prep’s varsity won by a score of 72-29.
Delaware Valley scored 8 in the first quarter, 6 in the second, 10 in the third, and 5 in the fourth. Scranton Prep scored 19 in the first quarter, 25 in the second, 24 in the third, and 4 in the fourth.
Top scorers for Delaware Valley were Ciara Newton with 10, Amanda Aragona with 9, and Leah Bird with 5.
