Senior runner Vanessa Paolella signs with Bates College

Delaware Valley senior runner Vanessa Paolella signed with Bates College-Division III. There she plans on running cross country, indoor track, and spring track. Vanessa was a captain of her cross country and track teams for two years. She was a First Team All-Star in country for two years and as a senior she placed sixth at Districts and as a junior she finished third at Districts. In cross country, she finished fourth place in the 1600m and 3200m in track Districts. At track Districts, she was part of the 4x800m team that placed second and she finished third in the 1600m and fourth in the 800m races. She was also chosen a Lackawanna League All-Star. She is also a member of FBLA, Del.Aware, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honor Society. Paolella is a volunteer at the Pike County Humane Society. She plans on majoring in biology/environmental studies and minoring in education. Vanessa is the daughter of Nicholas Paolella and Vicky Kline of Dingmans Ferry.
