SOUPer Bowl to raise money to help homeless people in Pike

Milford. On Super Bowl weekend, the Knights of Columbus -- John Paul II, Council 13935, Milford-Matamoras -- is sponsoring its eighth annual SOUPer Bowl fundraiser featuring delicious homemade soups from area chefs.The soup is sold by the quart and available for take-out before and after all the masses at St. Joseph’s Church in Matamoras on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 4 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 2, at 8:30 a.m.; as well as at St. Patrick’s Church in Milford on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m.Proceeds will benefit Pike County Hands of Hope, which aids homeless people in the county. "Last year’s response was outstanding!" says the announcement. "The Knights look forward to your continuing support for this worthy cause. Once again, thank for helping us help our neighbors!"
