    To the Editor:
Pennsylvania State Police received a report of a shooting in Bushkill last evening (Monday, Feb. 13). Bushkill EMS and the Public Safety Department at Saw Creek Estates were contacted, both of which provide first-responder services to the community. Public Safety Officers and EMS personnel responded while the State Police were en route to the scene.
A female in a private residence reportedly shot a male occupant of the home. The male was transported to emergency care facilities. It is unclear whether this was the result of an accident or a domestic dispute. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and all those affected by this unfortunate incident.
Incidents like this are very rare and can happen anywhere. Residents of the community have no reason to be concerned. Saw Creek Estates is an award-winning community and one of the safest and most desirable places to live or vacation in the Poconos. The community employs a modern, highly professional, well trained and equipped Public Safety Department which has an excellent working relationship with the Pennsylvania State Police and other law enforcement agencies.
The Board of Directors and residents of Saw Creek Estates would like to thank the Pennsylvania State Police, Bushkill EMS and the Public Safety Department for their quick and decisive response.
Further inquiries should be directed to the State Police Public Information Officer.
