Carl F. Thorsen died Friday, April 18, 2014 in the company of his loving wife after a long illness.

Born in Teaneck, N.J. in 1954 and a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School and the University of Scranton, Carl popularly taught history at Delaware Valley Middle School for many years.

An excellent golfer, fisherman, hunter, and musician, Carl loved Pike County, Pa. as well his home in Florida.

Among the many fond memories his family and friends will hold onto are years hunting deer on the Grimm farm in Blooming Grove, and playing golf and trout fishing with his entirely devoted wife of 37 years, Kathleen Cooper Thorsen who survives him.

Carl also leaves behind a nephew Carlyle P. Thorsen and nieces Kimberly Thorsen, Christine Thorsen, Sheryl Cicero, and Cara Thorsen.

A memorial service celebrating Carl's life will be held at the Milford Bible Church, Milford, Pa. on May 31 at 10 a.m.
