— The Black Bear Film Festival recently honored its top business sponsors and private patrons with "certificates of gratitude."

“We are grateful to each and every one of our supporters, and we are especially pleased to recognize our biggest donors,” said Bob Keiber, the festival's incoming executive director. “All of them made Black Bear Film Festival 2016 a big success by allowing us to honor the traditions of Black Bear while initiating many new programs that engage young people and the community at large in new and exciting ways.”

The festival honored Barbara Buchanan for her outstanding contributions as the founding member of the new Patrons Den membership club, and Frank Harris of Kahr Firearms, its biggest business sponsor in 2016.

“We are thrilled whenever we have an opportunity to give back to the community,” said Harris as he accepted the honor.

Other certificate recipients include Walmart, Milford Chrysler, Christopher Street Financial, Biondo Investment Advisors, Key Food Marketplace of Milford, The Milford Diner, and Newton Medical Center/Atlantic Health System.
