Josephine Thomsen

Josephine Thomsen of Milford died on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Belle Reve Senior Living Care, Milford. She was 98.

Daughter of the late Edward and May (Glynn) Shanahan, she was born on Nov. 23, 1916, New York, N.Y. She was married to Robert G. Thomsen Jr., who predeceased her in 1981.

Survivors include two sons, Robert E. Thomsen and his wife, Eileen, and Frederick N. Thomsen and his wife, Kate; one daughter, Barbara A. Whitney and her husband, Edson; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 19, at St. Patrick’s Church, with the Rev. Paul Mullen officiating.

Burial will take place immediately after the Mass in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Shohola, Pa.
