Katherine Mary (Brady) Pietranowicz of Port Jervis, N.Y., passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2020, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y. She was 63.
She was a retired cashier for Kmart, Matamoras, Pa. Katherine was a volunteer nurses’ aid until she became and worked as a certified nurses aid.
She delivered food to seniors and was an advocate for animals.
Katherine was a single mom until she met her late husband, Ronald Pietranowicz.
She was a devoted mother to her son, Jimmy. She loved her dog, Haley, who was a border collie rescue, and who passed earlier this year.
Katherine leaves behind her son, James Odell; step-son, Shawn Demetrician; brothers John Benis and Thomas Brady; sisters, Suzanne Parisi and Jeannette Miller; nieces, Dawn Miller, Angela Hartmann, and Melissa Parisi; and great-nephews, Nolan and Leonardo.
Graveside services and burial will take place at Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry, Pa., on Saturday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kaleigh Tomich-Corbett officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA (aspca.org) or to a humane society of the donor’s choice.
