Producer and composer teaches kids about more than music

Brent Daniels -- award-winning music producer, composer, sound designer, songwriter and singer -- recently led an assembly at Delaware Valley Elementary School.
His music has been used extensively in film trailers, TV, and video game trailers for Disney Studios, Marvel Studios, Dreamworks, Paramount, Warner Brothers, Sony, Fox, Universal, HBO Films, Hulu, Netflix and more.
Daniels led a music technology assembly as a preview to the school's Red Ribbon Week. He talked about how to make music, and the different skills needed to forge a path of greatness.
He taught the kids different fun musical techniques. Many students participated in making a song through funny sounds that, when put together and fine-tuned, generated a beautiful piece. Daniels connected this to taking care of ourselves, both body and mind. Students needed to do well in school and not stray the course, he said.
