On Saturday, May 4, residents and good Samaritans are encouraged to come out to Log Tavern Road at 10 a.m. to help clean up the roadway. This community-driven event is being organized by local resident Nick Muscara. He said he noticed that the roadway had recently been inundated with more litter than usual, so as part of a spring cleaning initiative, he decided to take it upon himself to organize this event.

“What gave me the little boost to make it a reality are the signs throughout the state to ‘Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful,’” he added.

Safety vests, trash bags, gloves, and pick-up sticks will be provided. A post-cleanup pizza lunch will be provided at 1 p.m. at Dwarfskill Preserve (305 Log Tavern Road).

Muscara said that, pending participation, he hopes to make this an annual cleanup event.

Anyone looking to volunteer their time for this cause is asked to RSVP to Muscara by emailing muscara.nick@gmail.com or testing 917-991-7961.
