A first for the Neversink Valley Museum

Tricky tray in September will a big first annual event Cuddebackville, N.Y. The Neversink Valley Museum Of History And Innovation is happy to announce its first annual tricky tray to be held at the Port Jervis (N.Y.) High School on Sept. 25, 2010. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and calling will begin at 1 p.m. The Museum Volunteers are excited to have an opportunity to provide this event for the community. There are “trays” featuring: a flat screen TV, Flip video recorder, and two lawn tickets to Bethel Wood for 2011 season, also a lawn cart provided by True Value Hardware in Otisville, N.Y., and many more. In addition there will be a 50/50 raffle, along with special drawings. “We are doing our best to provide something for everyone” said Mary Theresa Wieboldt who is chairing this event for the museum; “we are also keeping the price of the cards affordable”. Cards will be $5 per card with 25 chances on a card and five cards can be purchased for $20. Special Drawing Tickets will be $2 each with 15 tickets for $25. Tricky tray cards will be available in advance at the museum starting on Sept. 17, during Museum hours and at the Deerpark Heritage Day Festival at the School House Museum in Huguenot, on Saturday the Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. All money raised will go to support the ongoing Museum’s programs as we strive to preserve and educate about the amazing local history here in the Neversink Valley” added Seth Goldman, executive director. “Each year more then 1500 school children come to the Museum to learn about the local Lenape culture and the D & H Canal. Every child that gets a chance to experience the museum is important. This tricky tray will help the museum keep educating local students.” The Neversink Valley Museum of History and Innovation is open Friday through Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. through Oct. 29 and by appointment.
