Family Frolic celebration and benefit is June 26 MILFORD — Country Ark Farm (CAF) exists to enhance the lives of specially-abled individuals through hands-on contact with socialized animals. This is done through single day visits for all ages in the spring and fall and through summer respite day camps for children up to age 19. This is one of the objectives of the Country Ark Farm Family Frolic Fundraising Campaign. This campaign gives CAF an opportunity to share what the foundation does so that potential donors will understand why we need their support. Does CAF need your support? Absolutely. All of the Farm’s budget is generated from private donations, grants, and corporate giving. CAF employs no paid staff. The foundation has existed for twenty years by the sweat of dedicated volunteers who feed and care for the animals, maintain the Farm; train other volunteers; produce the print and web materials; and perform the hundreds of other tasks that contribute to making the Farm a true respite for emotionally, physically, and mentally disabled children and adults. Family Frolic Day CAF’s fundraising will culminate in a Family Frolic celebration, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the Riverview Inn in Matamoras. The day will be filled with animals galore and family oriented activities. From 6 pm. to -9 p.m., join the staff for a special dinner in the main room of the restaurant.
