New portrait drawing class MILFORD Pike County Arts & Crafts is now sponsoring a new art class open to all who are interested in the art of portraiture. The portrait drawing class is available for all artistic levels. The instructor, Bernard Hoffman is a member of the Portrait Society of America. The course includes four, two-hour sessions, 1-3 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 11, 12, 18, 19, at Milford Borough Hall, 109 West Catharine Street. All materials are supplied. DELAWARE TOWNSHIP LIBRARY TRICKY TRAY DINGMANS FERRY Delaware Township Library will hold a Tricky Tray & Vendor/Craft Sale on Saturday, July 17. The in-door event will be held at the Delaware Township Municipal Building, 116 Wilson Hill Road, Dingmans Ferry. Admission is free and doors open at 10 a.m. Drawing for prizes will begin at noon; you must be present to win. Food and beverages will be available. There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Local crafters will have a wide range of items for sale, including wood crafts, fiber art, and jewelry. All profits will be used to add to the library’s collection of books and media materials, up-grade the computers, and provide additional shelf space. Benefit dinner & tricky-tray DINGMANS FERRY On Sunday, July 18, from 2 to 6 p.m., at The Pocono Environmental Education Center a pasta dinner and tricky tray will benefit the Jennifer Babcock Cancer Fund. Donation is $5 per person. Jennifer is a young Sunrise Lakes mother of three and has recently been diagnosed with Cystic Renal Cell Carcinoma. An operation is needed to have her kidney removed. Fire department breakfast LORDS VALLEY The Blooming Grove Fire Department will be hosting an all you can eat breakfast on Sunday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held at the fire station on state Route 739, one mile north of I-84 in Lords Valley. The cost for adults is $6, and children under 12, $4. The meal will consist of pancakes (choice of blueberry or plain), French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, coffee, tea and orange juice.
