Feigelson student concert MILFORD On Saturday, June 12 at 2 p.m., there will be a free student concert at the First Presbyterian Church on Broad street in Milford. The program features classical, folk and other music performed on violin, viola, cello and piano by children between ages of 6 and 17. There will be free refreshments. Historic cleanup and picnic HAWLEY Celebrating the Lackawaxen River as PA 2010 River of the Year, on Saturday, May 22 the Lackawaxen River Conservancy (TLRC) and the Wayne County Historical Society (WCHS) will join forces at Lock House 31 - one mile west of Hawley on US Route 6 - at 9 a.m., to perform a brush and trash cleanup of a section of the former Delaware and Hudson Canal. Volunteers interested in joining TLRC and WCHS can bring their garden tools of choice: trowels, rakes, clippers, brush cutters, weed whackers, loppers, pruning sheers, chain saws, shovels, wheel barrels, tractors, carts, trash bags brush buckets, tarps, gloves and bug spray. The two groups will host a picnic and potluck lunch after the cleanup. Volunteers may bring salads, potluck dishes or dessert. Kindly RSVP by May 19, to info@lackawaxenriver.org or to wchs@ptd.net.
