Annual Iron Fest & Pig Roast at
Peters Valley Craft Center this weekend LAYTON, N.J. The annual Peters Valley Iron Fest and Pig Roast will begin at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 10. This is a fundraiser for the educational programs at Peters Valley Craft Center, and specifically, the Blacksmithing Studio. There will be demonstrations throughout the day by Mark Emig, and other nationally recognized blacksmiths, along with a pig roast which includes hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, sodas and more. Visitors can shop at the Blacksmith’s tailgate sale, and the Store and Gallery (full of handcrafted arts and gifts), enjoy live music by Phil’n The Void, and a live auction late afternoon. The event begins at 11 a.m. and usually finishes by dark (around 6 p.m.) Advance tickets are available by calling Peters Valley Craft Center at 973-948-5200. Advance tickets are $25 per person, $30 at the door. Children under 12 are free. This is a family-friendly event and a wonderful experience in the discovery of blacksmithing in America.
